AMADEA MARTINO SMITH is an actor, singer and musician who has been performing in professional theaters in the Philadelphia area since 2007.  She has been in productions with the Walnut Street Theatre, Opera Company of Philadelphia, The Media Theatre, The Centre Theatre, and the Curtis Opera Theatre.

Amadea will make her debut with People’s Light & Theater this 2011-12 season, in their production of Treasure Island. This is her first comedic roll, and she is getting ready to crack you up with lines like, “Pluck me and I’ll poke your eye out sister!” and “Long John has attitude issues, RAWK!”

Amadea recently began studying acoustic guitar. She also studies voice, ballet and plays the piano. Amadea is in the 7th grade at Valley Forge Middle School. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and baking (especially desserts!), hanging out with her cat, traveling with family and discussing politics and current events..
